W. Eric Williams, P.E.
President/Engineer
Raised in beautiful Gunnison, Colorado, Eric was born into a construction-minded family and began drawing floor plans and dream houses at a very early age (much like his own son is doing now). As a teenager he began working summers in construction and eventually as a draftsman and designer for a consulting engineering firm and a construction company.
With a strong aptitude for math and science, and a genuine love of design and structures, Eric studied engineering at the renowned Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado and graduated with honors in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Upon graduation he worked for engineering firms in Vail, Colorado and Amarillo, Texas before returning home to the mountains and to Gunnison, where he’s been working as an engineer and builder for the last 20 years.
In 2003 Eric was licensed as a Colorado Professional Engineer and has engineered hundreds of residences, garages, barns, light commercial buildings, and other structures since then, with an emphasis on structural engineering and optional complete design. He is very passionate about his work, and believes that every successful project begins with quality plans and engineering.
When out of the office you’ll find Eric enjoying quality time with his wife and four children, leading worship at his local church, and enjoying the many outdoor activities that Colorado offers year-round. Contact GreatLand Engineering today to discuss your project!
